He has excellent conformation, a beautiful yet flexible neck, strong and impulsive hocks and a classical profile. His piaffe and passage have superb rhythm and flexion. He has a phenomenal temperament, superb rideabilty and stunning movement. When asked, Xemino can go to work as an exceptional dressage performer or take a quiet hack out in the woods. He is sensitive without being nervous and has the most tremendous work ethic you could ask for in a horse. His overall demeanor at shows, expos or at home is constantly complimented on. Xemino passes on to his foals, his exceptional hock flexion, sweet and thoughtful temperament, easy and willing trainability, and his show stopping looks and movement!
Awarded the 2013 USDF All-Breeds Jr/Young Rider Second Level IALHA Purebred Championship. He has schooled up to Fourth Level Dressage successfully and has trained under Karl Mikolka, the former chief rider of the Spanish Riding School.
Xemino moved in June 2015 from Massachusetts to Texas to continue his training with Eric & Michelle Clarke of Rancho Bayo/Casa do Noble Lusitanos. Due to a casting injury in 2018, Xemino is retired from the show ring. He will continue to be ridden, enjoyed and bred at a less demanding level.
Xemino is Bay - per UC Davis: EEAa & nd1/nd2. He is homozygous for black, therefore will never produce red based (chestnut) foals. And Xemino has 1 copy each of nd1 and nd2. Primitive markings may be present on his foals. Xemino does not carry gray, cream or pearl. Xemino has also had a full genetic disease panel done by EtalonDx and he carries no genetic diseases.
